<p>We are delighted to be striking a new partnership with the American Baseball team York Revolution. The York Revolution is a professional baseball team in York, Pennsylvania. They play in the Atlantic League, which is a “partner league” of the MLB. The team have been extremely successful over recent seasons and are current league champions, just like us! Their history is intertwined with our city. They were known as the York White Roses from 1884 until 1969 and had a bitter rivalry with the Lancaster Red Roses, the team from the next county. Both York and Lancaster are still represented to this day in the league and indeed play each other in a “War of the Roses” battle, which sees the Revolution play the Lancaster Stormers each season for the Community Cup. Some of the York Revolution logos still carry the white rose of Yorkshire and the letter “Y” representing York. Our sponsor, York College have strong and developing ties with York College, Pennsylvania, and we plan to develop further ties with the baseball team where we can.
