York City FC Mid-Season Supporter Survey 2025/26 Results

York City are committed to delivering outstanding match day experiences for all our supporters, so we launched our 2025/26 Mid-Season Supporter Survey. WHY ARE WE DOING THIS? To help us gain a better level of understanding about our supporters. To provide an opportunity for supporters to share their experiences with us. To identify areas in which we can improve our processes and practices to provide a better service. ABOUT THE SURVEY This survey mainly asked for yes/no responses or scores out of 5, which has given us some really useful insight that was simple to analyse. The results are displayed in the following document, available in an easy-read format too. Furthermore, we are committed to conducting an end-of-season survey which will give opportunities for supporters to share ideas, suggestions and experiences in greater detail. Thank you to everyone who took part! SURVEY RESULTS Click here to view our 2025/26 York City FC Mid-Season Supporter Survey Results document. Donny Day joins Bridlington Town on a dual-registration

We can confirm that forward Donny Day has joined Bridlington Town on a dual-registration. The 18-year-old joined the academy at the beginning of 2024/25, after previous spells at Scunthorpe United Academy and Bottesford Town. He netted in the first game of that season, and would go on to score 14 goals across the term, including a hat-trick. Day started the 2025/26 campaign in perfect form too, scoring twice in our opener against Boston, a game which we fought back from 2-1 down to win 3-2 late on. A goal against South Shields made in three in two games for the young attacker, and he would also hit a brace in a 4-2 win over Stockport Town in the FA Youth Cup. Day now links up with Bridlington Town and newly-appointed manager, former York City promotion-winner Scott Kerr, on dual-registration terms. The Seasiders currently sit 13th in the Northern Premier League East Division. Good luck, Donny! Subject to FA and league approval.

The post Donny Day joins Bridlington Town on a dual-registration appeared first on York City Football Club.

A Moment of Silence | Southend United (H)

We will hold our annual moment of silence to remember former players, officials, and supporters who sadly passed away in 2025, ahead of our match against Southend United on Saturday 17th January (5:30pm kick-off). Shortly before kick-off, both teams will come together for a minute’s silence to pay tribute to those who we lost during the last twelve months. During this time, the names of everyone being remembered will be displayed on the scoreboard and will also be commemorated across our social media channels. Supporters wishing to have the name of a loved one included can do so by completing this form here. Please note that the closing date for submissions is Thursday 15th January. We also encourage supporters to bring along photos of their loved ones to hold up during the minute of silence, creating a ground-wide tribute.

The post A Moment of Silence | Southend United (H) appeared first on York City Football Club.

Ricky Aguiar’s loan at Horsham extended for a further month

Photo by John Lines York City can confirm that Ricky Aguiar will remain at National League South club Horsham for a further month. The 24-year-old midfielder initially joined the Hornets on a two-month loan spell in November, which has now been extended until February. Aguiar has appeared ten times for the National League South outfit in the league, and netted once, against Chesham. He also played in both of Horsham’s Isuzu FA Trophy victories, and started a 7-1 win in the Sussex Senior Cup. All the best, Ricky, keep it up! Subject to league and FA approval.

The post Ricky Aguiar’s loan at Horsham extended for a further month appeared first on York City Football Club.

1997 retro shirts now available for collection

We are pleased to confirm that the 1997 home and away retro shirts have now arrived and are available for collection, having been delivered to the LNER Community Stadium last Friday. The shirts went on sale for pre-order last year and were originally due to arrive in mid-December. Unfortunately, adverse weather conditions delayed the vessel carrying the shipment into UK ports. Both the club and our supplier have worked hard to minimise the delay wherever possible, and we are happy to confirm that the shirts have now been received, counted and packed ready for customers. Supporters who purchased delivery will have their orders dispatched on Monday 12th January. Those who selected collection can now collect their orders from the club shop during the following opening hours: Monday – Friday: 10am – 2pm Saturday (home match-days): 11am – kick-off (plus 30 minutes post-match) Thank you for your patience, and we apologise on behalf of the supplier for any inconvenience caused.

The post 1997 retro shirts now available for collection appeared first on York City Football Club.
