Arthur Smith is well known as one of television's 'Grumpy Old Men', and brings his laconic wit and wisdom to Grand Opera House for this event, part of York Literature Festival 2016. One of Britain's foremost comedians, Arthur describes himself as 'Radio 4's bit of rough.' Wendy Cope, one of the UK's most enduringly popular poets, features in the afternoon.
